I am African American but I have this long lusciously curly hair.?

when I say long i mean just a 2 inches below my shoulder when curly, and down to my mid back when straight. Well, anyway, my concern is so many people are denying that it is my real hair. I HATE IT. They ask me, Is this your real hair? I respond yes and they give me that look. I know I shouldnt be effected by what people think about me but it is there any advice, to deal with girls being bitchy towards or talking about me?

The truth is you'll never be able to stop people from talking about you because some people are so insecure about themselves, they have to find something about you (et al) to put down to make themselves feel better.

When someone asks you if that's your real hair, a quick response is, "Yes, is that yours?"

i had the same problem in school. (even now). i have long hair down to my butt almost. people would yell at me and say i was wearing weave (even if i wore it DOWN) they never say anything tp the ones that really did have weave. They are just jealous girl. i had to deal with the b itchy jealous girls too. just flaunt your hair and make them hate even more! haha

I hate to give you an answer that is cliche, but it is the truth. They may very well be jealous of your hair, or they are just haters (is there a difference??). Anyhow, you already know that you shouldn't be affected by what people (mostly females) say about you, so what I would do is just ignore them.

don't pay attention to them, ignore them and don't feed into their stupidity. As long as you take care of yourself and it doesn't turn physical, I wouldn't worry. Most likelt they're talking crap b/c they're insecure about themselves. Walk w/ confidence and you'll be fine.

they're just haters. my friend had long hair down to her lower back and people would be jealous of her and stuff just because their hair was broken off and couldn't fit into a ponytail. just ignore them, don't stoop to their level.
