My hair is EXTREMELY naturally curly, and I don't always like to take the time it takes to straighten it. What I do when I don't want it to be sooo curly, is after I shampoo, I blowdry it until it's almost completely dry, then I turn my blowdryer to the cool setting and hit it with the cool air for another 10 minutes or so. Your hair won't be as straight as if you HAD used a straightener on it but its better than letting it airdry.

It sounds like you just got a perm, if yes, well you have to live with it, but curly can be sooooooo cute if you find the right product, my daughter has curly hair and I could not tell you what she uses, but I can tell you she has many different types of creams, sprays, liquids, you name shes had it. You just need to ask someone who has curly hair that you think you like, ask her what she uses, good luck.

There are shampoo's and conditioners that are real simple to use, as simple as shampooing and conditioning your hair as you would normally do. It is also cheap. Sure the salon products are nice, if you can afford them, but you can get the same results from your everyday Walmart, Walgreen's, K-mart etc., products too, and you can save about $10.00 a bottle too.

Personally I find that a real "Relaxed Mouse" works wonders in your area.

I just had a baby and during pregnancy my hair kind of did that. I use a product by Redken called smoothdown. Apply just a bit while your hair is wet, blow dry, then flat iron your hair. The smooth down gets it ultra straight while protecting it. About $15 per bottle, mine has lasted already six months, and I'm not even half way through.
