I had the same problem so I got my hair relaxed at christmas (permanantly straigthened) and have had it done once since and yes the styles made me look alot nicer than when i used to hide my curls away in plaits or buns but it was actually hard to handle because it didnt go perfectly stright I had to straighten it everyday! So im not gettin it done again ive thought about it and im goin to grow my curly hair and wear it proud like ciara or beyonce or shakira!

Well, I have hair like that too! But, when I cut it (trying to get the bob effect) it didn't work out so well, unless I flatironed my hair every day (which I was too lazy to do)...But now I leave my hair long (about elbow length), because in my opinion, it looks MUCH better. But if you want short hair, then you should cut it about 4 inches longer than you want, because it will curl and appear shorter. Hope I helped :]

i think your hairtype would look best cut short and just let it do its thing. you wont have to fight to make a style that you cant achieve and it looks great.
