What are some good HAIRSTYLES, not products, for curly hair?

i dont need to know about products, just hairstyles. My hair is extremely curly and i normally put it up in a ponytail and wear a headband. But im sick of that. any ideas?

check out this website naturallycurly.com they have forums and boards that can help you out with this question. There is also a book called Curly Girl that has a really good chapter on finding the right hairstyle and stylist. A lot depends on the length and thickness of your hair and how you want to wear it. I have thick curly/wavy hair and wear mine about chin length with some layering; I really like it that way but again it depends on your face shape, your activity level, the amount of upkeep you want to put into it, lots of factors.

I usually just let my hair down, and lots of people compliment me on how pretty it is!

If you have hair longer than your shoulders, (this style looks really cute if you're young or relaxing with friend but is not good for business) I find it cute to braid it into two separate braids, french, fishtail, or normal, whichever works for you, but leave about a 2-inch section at the end out of the braid and let that curl naturally. That's another cute and fun style.

Another way you could do it is you can put it up in a messy bun, which makes a very sophisticated curly bun. Very cute for date nights.

And if you just want something very different and new, you should consider buying a straightener and straighten your hair every once in a while! There are tons of options with straight hair, along with curly hair!

Good luck!
