You're crazy! Curly hair is amazing! You have natural texture and your hair looks thicker and healthier, most likely, than straight hair. I have straight hair and I spent my teens curling it for the first day of school :-)

Wear it curly but tone done the curls using a frizz-control shampoo and conditioner. Or use a leave-in conditioner that will control frizz and soften the curls.

Hair straightener!! Also use some styling oil (not too much though) so it won't look dry after you straighten it. Or you can also use a curling iron, except don't wrap your hair around it to make it curly, just enough at the end where it curls inwards. You can also use an extra large size round brush and blow dry your hair with it. That way you'll get plenty of waviness and volumn. Hope this helps.

I understand your plithe, I have curly hair as well. I've tried many styling products to help with my curl, from shampoos to styling gels and creams. The best shampoo well, in my opinion is any of them. But the products you put in after the shampoo is what I have found essential, avoid any product with alcohol in it, a lot of hair products have alcohol in it to dry the product faster, but unfortunatly it makes curly hair frizzy and dry. I love the frizz-ease, product by John Frieda, because it will curl your curls when you let your hair air dry (don't use too much because your hair will look greasy), and if you want a straight look, well it allows you to do that as well (with a blow dryer or straight iron). My advice is this, After putting in your styling product in your hair(your hair should be damp not soaking wet or it will take forever to dry), pull some hair up and place in a clip, (this is just to keep your damp hair out of the way) start with a thin layer of hair at the back of your neck, (get help if your hair is long) then take a huge round brush that is at least 1-2 inches in diameter (or huge curling iron {I have a blow-dryer/round brush in one I believe i bought it at Wal-mart, it's sooooo much easier than using both a round brush and blow-dryer}) run it through your hair while blow drying it, after that section is dry get another small section of hair out of clip and do it again.The purpose of the round brush is to make the ends of your hair flip either in or out, depending on which direction dry your hair. It's a long and tedious process (for me it takes about an hour but the more you do it the quicker you'll get at it, and yes you can do this the night before going to school so you wont be late)but sooooo worth it, plus that style will last at least a week with out washing (wear a shower cap to keep it dry) I hope this helped some.
