i have really curly hair and its NOT tightly curled but still curly i am a begginer at staraightning and want to know how long it would take and how to do it?

I have really curly hair as well and I use a Chi. I have perfected the art of straightening my hair and it only takes me 10 minutes. Here are some tips:

Straighten in sections! I start with the under-side of my hair and work my way up.

Use a comb or round brush. As you are straightening, run a comb right in front of the straightener through your hair. This will cause you to only have to run over the section of hair ONCE. Furthermore, it is better for your hair anyways, because straightening over tangles is BAD NEWS.

depends on how long and how thick. if you have should length medium thickness hair and it was blown dry so it was kinda poofy but not curly, it would take me as a stylist about 20min. and that would be takin really thin sections to get it as straight as possible and bending the ends under slightly. for u as a beginner it would prob take about 45. i find that most girls when doing it themselves do really take that much time cuz as long as it looks straight its ok. if u used larger sections you could prob do it in about 15. the more time you spend on getting it straight the longer it will last you.

Honestly, don't waist 7-10 hours trying to use any kind of hair straightener on your hair, I agree with the first answer. Go get it professionally straighten, that way it last longer, and you won't have to worry about hours in straighting your hair.

My hair is the same way and it never gets straight with a straightener. I say just go to a salon, and a good one, pick one someone you know has gone to.

I use a chi straightener and I have wavy hair not very curly like you and I straighten my hair a lot so I sorta know what I'm doing so here a few tips: but your hair really well before you start, apply bio-silk oil (for hair of course) to all of your hair, then brush again and begin. It takes me about 45 mins so it should take you near to an hour and a half
