You can chemically straighten it they have those at home kits or a salon for about a $100

Hi, i am not sure how much permanent is, but have you ever gotten it done temporarily? If not, it usually lasts 6 months and when i got mine done it cost about 30 dollars and my hair was shoulder length and its extremely curly. it probably depends on where you get it done, but it'll range in that area for temporary. i suggest not getting it done permanently. My friend went and got it done, and she decided she didn't like it 2 or so months later, and then she went and curled it and all of that great stuff....i hope i was some help.....

The cost of straightening will vary greatly depending on what region of the country you are in. I suggest you call the salons in your are and ask the cost of the process.

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

Hope this helps and good luck.

  1. I have done it once per year for 4 years now. It costs around 400 the first time and $350 to do the roots (about 3 inches of root) after a year of growing out. It is worth every penny-- you have to go to a real salon for permanant straightening. The cheapo places only do "relaxers" (though they tell you it is permanant). This will not make your hair stick straight, nor will it last more than a cpl months. Permanant straightening takes many hours in the salon chair and is PERMANANT.
